Gabriel Yakimovich Lomakin (1812-1885) - Russian choral conductor and musical figure. Lomakin taught singing in the court singing chapel and many educational institutions of St. Petersburg, together with M.A. Balakiev founded and led the free music school, is the author of five teaching benefits on singing. The brief method of singing contains a summary of a note letter, exercises for vocalization, examples for singing to one, two, three, four voices. The textbook is addressed to teachers and students of children"s music schools, students and teachers of music schools and colleges.
