A book about the epaulettes. Epolery regiments of the Russian army in the reign of Ekaterina II. 1762–1796

The study of the military historian V. I. Egorov, the chief specialist of the Russian State Military Historical Archive (Moscow), is dedicated to epaulettes or epaulettes of the Russian Imperial Army of the times of Catherine the Great. For the first time, under one cover, drawings of over 160 evolves from the RGVIA funds and the collection of military graphics of the State Hermitage were collected. Their bright palette is complemented by archival documents on the approval, manufacture, change of Epipoloma samples in 1763-1796: decrees of the military collegium, reports of feldmarshals, generals, colonels, household and office paper.
The publication also reflects other aspects of material and artistic culture related to epaulettes: portrait painting, regulatory drawings of uniforms of different branches of troops, few genuine epaulettes of soldiers and officers of the second half of the 18th century preserved to this day.
The topic of regimental differences between the Catherine Army was not disclosed in either special and thoroughly in the special or popular science literature. "Book of Temples" is of undoubted interest as historians
