The first story by Arkady Gaidar about the events of the Civil War, which also took place in Ukraine, was called 'In the Days of Defeats and Victories'. Gaidar's name is engraved on the memorial at the editorial office of 'Komsomolskaya Pravda' in memory of the war correspondents who did not return from the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.
