Domestic microelectronics in the pre -reform period was included in the three world leaders (along with microelectronics in the United States and Japan), and in some directions ahead of them, despite the strict isolation in the Cold War. The book "50 years of domestic microelectronics" is the first comprehensive publication in the country about microelectronics and computing technique, focused on a wide reader.
The special value of the monograph is that it is written by a veteran of the domestic electronic industry, owning objective information based on personal scientific and production experience. For many years, the author headed the industry unit for coordinating the development of microelectronics and computing equipment in the Ministry of Electronprom.
The publication is addressed primarily to young people who receive on the basis of the experience of their grandfathers and fathers objective guidelines for building the future, as well as a wide range of readers who are interested in the history and prospects of Russian science and technology
