The first volume of the sessions of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences is devoted to social, socio-political and socio-economic issues, the analysis of the course of economic reforms that began in Russia in the 90s. At the sessions of the ROSZ leading Russian scientists - economists, sociologists, philosophers, as well as writers, politicians, journalists, discussed the problems of transformation of Russian society, ways to exit the economic crisis, the concept of the development of Russia. Special attention was paid to the course of the feasible reforms. At the meetings of the RAS, the political, social and economic risks, the negative consequences of large-scale transformations conducted at different stages of the Russian government were offered, alternative reform options were proposed, the real problems faced with which the Russian economy was faced. The collection also included materials of a unique round table, conducted by the Institute of Socio-Political Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, together with the American University in Moscow on June 28, 1993 on the topic: "Revival of Russia: Concepts and Reality, in which V. P. Aksyonov took part , V.K. Bukovsky, A. A. Zinoviev, V. E. Maksimov, G. Kh. Popov, E. F. Saburov, S. B. Stankevich, A. S. Tsipko, etc. It was this event who pushed scientists. To the creation of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, which became the place of sharp and fruitful discussions on the pathways of Russia"s development, about its place in the changing world. The collection materials will be useful and interesting to scientists, sociologists, political scientists, philosophers, political figures, journalists, teachers and students.
