The book "1918 Year in Ukraine" is the fifth volume in a series dedicated to the White Movement in Russia, and introduces readers to the memories of participants in the events and battles in Ukraine during the period of the end of 1917-1918. The civil war was fought here in a complex ideological and nationalist confrontation.
For the first time in the book, testimonies are presented not only by the leaders of the anti-communist struggle, but also by its ordinary participants, allowing a vivid representation of the situation and atmosphere of that time, the psychology and spiritual image of the first volunteers. With few exceptions, the materials included in the volume have never been published in Russia, and those published abroad are bibliographic rarities.
The volume is equipped with a preface and extensive comments containing several hundred biographical references about the authors and heroes of the essays, published for the first time.
