This issue examines the literary controversy, the writer"s biography, the provision and role of the writer in the Russian society of the XVIII century, the ideas of the writers themselves about the writer"s work, their relationship with state leaders (with imp. Catherine II and its closest nobles, speaking as pheets).
In a wide historical and cultural context, the creativity of the largest authors of the XVIII century is considered. - M.V.Lonosova, A.P.Sumokova, M.M.Heraskova, N.I. Novikova, G.R. IDRZHAVINA, N.A. Lvov, I.I. Hemnisser, A.N. Ogadishva, N .M.Karamzin. The publication section presents the initial version of the tragedy of the city of Herjavin "Herod Great" with the comments on her I.A.Dmithevsky, as well as unknown translations of the Basen Lafontena M.N. Muraviev.
