I wonder what"s new in the past?

You feel that we have events, fate, years, people? ... Would we like to know about them, think only about today and we are not interested in the past, all the same - each of us is a twig of a powerful tree , the roots of the centuries going deeper. We live on Earth saturated with the national spirit, traditions, culture. In essence, what we call history is not so far from us. Our great -grandmothers lived in the distant nineteenth century! And the great-great-great-...? What did their house look like, what did they dress in? What dishes ate from? What is a hairstyle? Epancha? What is this brother and why is it so called? A bog, a barmitsa, a samovar ... In the game - eighty words, the sound of which makes you think, surprise, take a book about the life of our ancestors, go to the ethnographic museum.
Our story is ten plot sketches about Russian life, a folk suit, a dwelling, a warrior armor. Each plot is briefly described on the pages of the attached book. In it you will find the meanings of new (old!) Words. Acquaintance with the picture begins with a Russian proverb - talk with the children about the meaning enclosed in it. After reading the book and getting acquainted with the material, you can consolidate new knowledge in the game: find objects on each card whose names are read out by the host. The plot picture can be a topic for a story, essay or quiz. And the meanings of words on small cards are a task for participants in the school Olympiad or history of history ...
